Terms of Service

Last updated: September 14, 2026

These terms cover your use of thebeout.com (the “Service”), including the BeOut waitlist and the event submission form. BeOut is an early-stage, individually-operated project — by using the Service, you're agreeing to these terms as they stand today; see “Changes” below for how updates work.

What BeOut is

BeOut is a discovery layer for local events — it aggregates event listings (today, from Ticketmaster's public Discovery API and from events submitted by organizers) and links out to the original ticketing platform for purchase. BeOut does not sell tickets, does not process payments, and is not a party to any ticket purchase you make. When you click through to buy a ticket, you're leaving BeOut and dealing directly with that platform, under its own terms.

Event information accuracy

Event details shown on BeOut (dates, times, venues, prices, availability) come from third-party sources and from organizers, and can change or be wrong. Always confirm the details on the original platform or with the organizer before making plans or a purchase — BeOut isn't liable for a listing that's outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate.

Submitting an event

Anyone can submit an event for consideration. By submitting, you confirm that you have the right to publicise the event and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You grant BeOut permission to publish, display, adapt and translate the event details you submit, including editing them for clarity, format or length, for as long as the listing remains on the Service.

Submissions are reviewed by a person before publication. We may decline, edit, or remove any submission for any reason — including inaccuracy, spam, duplication, or content we judge unsuitable — and we are under no obligation to publish anything or to explain a decision. Publication is not an endorsement of an event, an organizer, or anything that happens at it.

Don't submit an event you have no connection to or authority over, don't impersonate an organizer or venue, and don't include anyone's personal information in the fields intended for publication. Your name and email are collected for contact only and are not published — see our Privacy Policy.

The waitlist

Joining the waitlist reserves you a notification email when BeOut launches in your city — it isn't a purchase, a subscription, or a guarantee of a launch date. You can ask us to remove your entry at any time (see our Privacy Policy).

Acceptable use

Please don't scrape, systematically harvest, or attempt to disrupt the Service; misrepresent who you are when submitting a form; or use the Service for anything unlawful. We may take reasonable steps to protect the Service against abuse, including blocking access.

No warranty

BeOut is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. As an early-stage project, features may change, break, or be removed without notice, and we don't guarantee the Service will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BeOut and its operator aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on event information that turns out to be inaccurate or on a third-party platform's own errors.

Language

These terms are published in English and in French. Both versions are intended to say the same thing, and neither is given precedence over the other. If you notice a discrepancy, please tell us and we'll correct it.

Changes

We may update these terms as the Service changes. We'll update the “last updated” date above when we do; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable in it, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

These terms were drafted to accurately describe how BeOut actually works today, but they are not a substitute for review by a qualified lawyer — especially before BeOut adds accounts, payments, or launches its mobile app to the public.
